The beady-eyed amongst you may have noticed a little change on the site: we’ve updated our logo! Now, why on earth would we go and do something like that so soon after launch?
We felt the WooThemes logo didn’t really reflect the same character that the rest of our website design oozed, or the ‘fun’ nature of the themes we offer, so Mark cooked up a rather sexy replacement. The original was also accidentally too similar in style to the Joomla template shop YOOthemes. We’ve been in contact with their friendly team and showed them our revised logo, which they’re happy with. We should have perhaps done some more research into the logo design before launch, and we apologise to YOOthemes for the issues it may have caused. Guys, you’ve been great – we owe you a beer!

And now it looks a little bit like a ghost, woooo hoooooo hoooooo
I didn’t really see the relation between the old one and Yoothemes logo. But I’m certainly digging this new logo.
I think the new logo is pretty awful, it looks like something similar to Comic Sans. The old logo was balanced and professional, this new one looks like it was thought up in one minute. Sorry Woo people but to me its a big mistake.
Thanks.
Remember to change the favicon1
Yeah agree that the logo is a bit too simplistic and looks like it is been done by a beginner. Apart from that I like the look of the woo themes.
This logo is too bad. I prefer the previous.
To each his own I guess the saying says…
We quite dig the new logo and even though we loved the previous version, we couldn’t continue using it without offending the great guys over at Yootheme.
What does YooThemes think of you guys using a name so similar to theirs as well?
Yeah… thought it looked kinda like http://www.projectwonderful.com/ ‘s logo too…
Good stuff!
Timothy: Obviously the YooThemes guys were originally quite skeptical about our name, but after a few emails we have resolved the issue and agreed on a logo re-design. They have been very understanding.
John: Never seen Project Wonderful before, I suppose if we look at the blue gradient square/rectangle as a similarity we start looking like a load of web start ups
We are much happier with our now new logo and I’m glad you like it.
So… when’s the new themes coming out?
John – We’re working on some awesome stuff now and the first club themes will be available in the first week of August.
Yeah, pretty cool logo… keep up the good work… what font did you use ?
Hey Brian, it’s a combination of a manipulated “TW Cen MT” and “Apple Casual”
thanks.. its cool how little effort with the right kind of font that it takes to create an awesome logo…
I agree with what Max said, 100%. Looks cheap compared to the rest of your site design and themes.
Not that you asked for it, but my advice – swallow pride and change the font.
Anyway, love this site. Great work guys. Hopefully next time I visit the logo will be redone.
Loved the design of woothemes …….. though i didn’t like that much of the color of this design….you could have done better that this..but other things are fine….cheers..
Nice new logo ! the name on the other hand is to much like the Yoothemes name and beleive me you don’t want to be associated with them !
They have the worst support EVER !! Hundreds of unanswered post on the forum. Maybe that’s why you don’t have access to their forum until you are a member
I see you have requested a forum ninja witch is good because believe me support is as important if not more important than the theme in itself.
All the best to you guys and you shouldn’t advertise for yoo…
it’s for you guys )
(I personally don’t care
best regards
This is exactly what I was looking for. Joomla is a top notch CMS and this is a perfect example why.
