No I paid for FreshNews before I started customizing it. I was able to really dig in and see what was possible once I bought it.

I love the Go Media Site and didn't realize it used Fresh News until after I subscribed. It' nice when you see a cool interpretation of a theme - even better when it comes from someone well respected with more than enough talent to do their own.

@River girl

Yeah the top part of the Gomeidazine site where the graphics overlap the content is a great touch. Great inspiration.

Yeah, i agree with everyone else.......

I was wondering though, Did you (Jeff Finley) choose the theme (not buy it), then play around with designs? sketches etc to see what you might do to it and then buy the theme? or did you just buy and then start your own design process?

cheers again,

Yup, the GoMediaZine theme customization is definitely one of the best takes on FreshNews. Thanks for posting a great interview on the behind the scenes of this one. The more I use my own FreshNews theme and customize it, and the more themes like this that I see, the more appreciation I have for well built "base themes" like FreshNews. Cheers! MakeDesign,NotWar

I love the Go Media site. The new design is so awesome and fresh...they're the reason I decided to purchase the Fresh News Dev for an upcoming project. This theme is great! Thanks Woo for creating it and Go Media for the inspiration.

It is the best one yet. Best part is where the overlaps occur on top of top posts (not sure if I explained that well, but you get the idea).
