Since we don’t like keeping you in the dark about the things we are cooking up here at WooThemes HQ, we just thought that we’d share some sneak previews of the newest theme we’re working on…
During the last few weeks we’ve been working with some collaborative designers on new theme concepts and one of these – entitled Open Air (another collaboration with Liam McKay) – is nearing completion and will be available during the latter stages of this month. The theme will have a dual-purpose, as it will include both a magazine-style & traditional blog layout, whilst also featuring a brand new (enhanced) video player, which we’ll be experimenting with.
Here’s a teaser collage of screenshots (there’s no larger preview available):

We’re quite excited about the theme and even though we won’t be reinventing the wheel, you can expect another typically, quality release from us. Kudo’s also to Liam for again coming up with a brilliant concept, after the very popular release of Papercut last month.
We look forward to sharing this one with our WooTheme users!
And if it isn’t obvious to you yet: we’re pretty serious about regularly releasing new themes. The themes scheduled for the next few months will blow your mind! So sign up to The WooThemes Club already!

Hey Adii – that looks really nice. I’m rather jealous you have so much time to work on these things. I guess that’s the advantage of working for yourself
Theme looks great. I recall reading something about you guys releasing a BBPress theme in the near future. Any updates on that?
@Ben – I think our advantage is that we’re 3 guys working together and we’re not afraid to collaborate with others to push out themes on a regular basis. Mark & I do a lot of custom client work, whilst Magnus likes his fishing…
So we don’t have THAT much time available.
@Brandan – Yup, we’ll be releasing those bbPress themes pretty soon.
Wow – may have to indulge in this one.
My name is mud! This theme is going to rock the socks off of the gorillas in NYC zoos!
Not to mention, the support at Woo Themes is unTOUCHED by any other theme producer — they don’t just make themes.. they rock the house that themes built (you get the idea).
What? you say you need help changing the colors– BAM WE’LL DO IT!
What? you want help getting the sidebar moved around to fit in those oversized photos of the perch you caught last weekend on your fishing trip while everyone was still working their patooties off– BAM ITS DONE SON!
** I’m very energetic today, do not judge me — just appreciate my wonderful gesture of love, passion, and kindness. And buy woothemes **
THE END!
Haha @ Justin!
Love that new hair style bro!
Great stuff. You guys design the nicest looking and feature-rich templates out there. Well done!
Your themes are well designed and feature rich, but they could do with some seo work. the headings in my fresh news theme were pretty poor, the h1 is used for the logo and is the same on every page. not good. and on the homepage there are heaps of h2′s, these should be h3-h5′s. Google doesnt like more than one h2, and needs unique h1 tags. I had to go through and change it.
cheers
@Micheal: If we did that, what would be left for the pros? LOL. Themes as you know are meant as starting points. I honestly think that if total packages were provided to the general public, it would not dilute the need for designers, coders, SEO’s, and developers…
Themes are supposed to be user ready out of the box, and developer ready for those of us hired to make something great, even better.
As a freelancer, could you imagine a market where someone decides between hiring you, and buying a $100.00 theme? Yeh, it would suck. While some opponents to premium themes think it’s already a problem, I think that the market is ripe for guys and gals like us. Premium themes that need a little extra tweaking, are my bread and butter. I for one would be rather ticked if some other designer decided it would be a good idea to try and monopolize the market.
Just my 2, thanks for commenting!
Correction… it WOULD dilute the need…
What can i say, i-just-love-your-work, keep it up and regarding the fishing for magnus, living in norway who can blame him, flyfishing ftw

@Michael/Johnny: While the “out of the box” themes may not be great for SEO, I think that can easily be addressed through properly using a plugin like Platinum or All-In-One SEO. How much additional SEO work does the average blog/ website really need?
Great stuff :p
Very nice. Can’t wait to see this one in action!
When will the Open Air theme be released?
Omar if all goes to plan it will be on the 1st October.
You guys have been putting out some top-notch themes lately. I’m thinking this one will follow suit.
You guys are killing me with the teaser. Can’t wait to see this one.
There is no magic skill.
