I appreciate that the theme comes with no support however there’s no documentation either. Adii referred to the “theme documentation” on Oct/27 however the only documentation in the latest download is a change log.

Is it missing from the v1.1 (Jan/16/09) release?

If other people are having problems I found that I had to manually create a “cache” folder in the /wp-content/themes/snapshot for the thumbnailing to work (I’m using WP2.7). Still trying to work out the rest though!

I just tried using this on WP2.7 (for the first time) and I can get my image to show but not the post text. I know we’re not supposed to get support but I wanted to see if anyone else is having issues on WP2.7? I havent used this on prior releases so I cant compare. Thanks so much for this theme- wish I could use it!

Is there anything different about uploading images through the media button – in WordPress 2.7? Was using this theme successfully using WP 2.6.

Oh.. I see.. so you actually upload it using upload media button and then copy and paste the link into the box… hmm.. okay… I think I’ll just build my own upload function instead for it.

BTW, you could make it easy by using a dynamic image resizing script. There’s so many out there. No need to create thumbnails or mess with anything. Just point to original photo in IMG SRC and the script takes care of the rest.

Scott – We are not offering free support for this theme. But I can tell you that you need to upload the image via WP’s “Add Media” button. You should also re-read the theme documentation, which gives you a How-To in this regard.

This is going to sound really dumb.. but when I write a post, how do I upload an image in the additional fields? There’s no upload button anywhere.

Yeah think I know what Roman meant. When you first install theme there are no bg images (everything is white and blank, just RSS icon) and you have to go to theme settings and choose some different style, then they show. After that when you choose default.css back again you get that colored default settings. Probably small glitch or it is intended to be like that, dunno.

Anyway this is something that I looked for a long time, even tried some other scripts but wp rocks. It will become great for my css nationalized gallery after some design adjustments but backbone is great. Thank you guys!

Indeed, as to copying the idea if at all it ever happened, why not. Why reinvent the wheel ? Why do we all drive a car rather then trying to invent something of our own.

^ I agree with Adii – truth be told, all of the guys in the premium theme (and now open source) market aren’t as much of competitors as the general public thinks. I can’t speak for Adii and Woo, but what I can say is that a lot of my clients are developers who see the value in all of our themes for their business. What this means is that a fair % of my clients probably purchase the Woo membership, the iThemes pack, and so on as well. Our existence isn’t competition with one another, rather a way for developers to offer a wide variety of quality designs to their clients.

Recardo – That is not true. We don’t have beef with anyone and have a lot of respect for what Brian has achieved with Revolution. Everything is not about competition (and subsequently – winning) – and the industry we’re in, is definitely big enough for everyone involved.
