Theme ConceptsPosted by Adii Rockstar on 06 Nov 08
How many themes are you working on? More teasers…
We know that this might come as a complete surprise to you, but we currently have about 10 themes that are in various states of development. Along with the 9 theme concepts that we have purchased from our WooContest winners, we have a few more collaborations that we’re working on. So, as we’re gearing up to release Matt Brett’s theme early next week, we thought it’d be cool to get your mouth watering over some of the other themes that are in the works…
Abstract by Veerle Pieters
Yup - you read it right! WooThemes is indeed collaborating with the super-designer, uber-illustrator and industry-leading designer, Veerle Pieters. We approached Veerle about a month ago to get cracking on a new design for us and she has created something truly unique and 100% within her signature style. This is a major coup for us in our attempts to get the best web designers involved with WooThemes in collaborative projects. Any here’s some enticing teasers:

Editorial by Mark Forrester
Well, we can’t let our collaborative partners have all the fun ya’know. Mark has been working on this concept on / off for a while now and we believe that this is definitely a ground-breaking theme in terms of the functionality involved. The theme is aptly called Editorial, since we’re creating a true magazine-vibe, whereby the posts are split into monthly issues, whilst the homepage acts as a Table of Contents of sorts. Here’s the visual low-down:

Cushy by Liam McKay
I think it is obvious that we kinda like Liam’s designs, as this will be the 4th theme he’ll release with WooThemes. After Liam’s previous WooThemes (Papercut, Open Air & Ambience) have focused on personal & magazine-type designs, we got Liam to work on a new business / corporate design and this is what you can expect:

But wait! There’s more…
We don’t have teaser images for this one yet, but we’ve also recently started to work with CSS-guru, Dan Rubin. Dan - who has written quite a few books on web design & CSS - has promised to use some groundbreaking CSS techniques to push the abilities and design aesthetics of our themes to the next level. So we’re also really excited to be working with someone of Dan’s calibre and I’m sure you’ll join us in our anticipation to see what Dan produces..
So what do you think of the new teasers? Do you think that it is worth your time to sign up for The WooThemes Club, considering that we’ll be releasing these beauties (along with the 9 winners from the WooContest) into the wild in the next 2 / 3 months? Maybe you need to evaluate the value of our club in more detail?

Can’t wait! Hopefully you guys come out with some more personal blog themes. I need to revamp my site and don’t feel like starting from scratch. I might just have to
All 3 themes look awesome guys.
@Randy - Well, Matt Brett’s theme is definitely going to be an awesome personal theme.
Web designers are the new rockstars;) But seriously, a great line-up and the samples look very promising!
fantastic previews … the 6 months developement subscription was definitly a good choice
Let’s get Jay rolling also shall we? I really like his style and finesse;-)
The others looks very good too. Real quality.
excellent! keep up the good work!
I’m happy to see there will be more personal blog themes. I’m just waiting for some nice ones, then signing up for Woo Themes. The “lifestreams” are right up my alley.
ummm, good choices but i can see more and more wp users are looking for more personal themes. My opinion if woo doesnt dive more seriously into this, someone else will do it as there is an serious need for such themes.
I’m wishing for an ecommerce solution too–but not so storefrontish. Just something that I can occasionally sell something in.
Themes look cool though
omg, veerle´s work is just awesome….have to sit down agaqin!

The “Crushy” is nice and light. Looking forward to the rest.

Any chance you’ll be looking at BuddyPress themes in the future and how they integrate into these sites?
Cheers,
CW
OMG they are so beautiful! I might have to get a new theme soon!
Can’t wait to see Dan Rubin’s CSS genius at work!
I don’t know how anyone can compete with WooThemes. Way to tap those niches!
I am looking to update my look by he New Year so I may have to dive in for the 3 month once I see some more of the winners stuff. Groovy just looks awesome to me.
Oh man, first Matt Brett and now Dan Rubin. You guys are really pulling in some top-notch big names - which is awesome.
Now you need to work on partnering with Bryan Veloso
Looking forward to next week.
You’ve got really great themes here, I wonder when I’ll be able to wrap up 150 US Dollar and get 3 themes that I really have a crush on, since you got one for free download now there are 2 more themes to go
Keep up the good work guys!
I can’t wait to see my design live in action
Nice themes, but i still miss some of the simple personal blog themes!
Sadly, most of your themes look more corporate than personal
dear wooteam, i would like to see veerle´s design concept online, immediatly. cant wait any longer.
when do you think will this be possible, in the next few days, maybe weeks? or december?
and, when you publish this work, are there psd files included too?
@Tom - It will probably be available in December and yes, the original PSD will be included with the Developer License for the theme.
