The WooThemes Survey

12. Nov, 2008 by Adii Rockstar in Interactive

We really believe in the wisdom of the crowd and we have thus decided to launch a little survey of our own… The WooThemes Survey is the first of its kind in many regards, considering that there has never before been a survey to track the preferences / opinions of WordPress users in terms of themes in general, the commercial themes market and everything that goes along with this.

So with a little bit of help from the awesome interface at PollDaddy we’ve setup a survey containing 30-odd questions aimed to help us guage your preferences / opinions in this regard. The survey serves a dual purpose in the sense that we are trying to get feedback on general WordPress themes issues, as well as opinions with regards to WooThemes itself. The survey is however open to anyone, as the few WooThemes-specific questions are only aimed at current WooThemes users.

We also intend on sharing some of the information we can mine from the survey with regards to the community’s views on WP themes and the future thereof (whilst we will obviously exclude the information relating only to our business).

We are hoping for as many responses as possible and have therefor decided to give away at least 3 Developer Subscriptions to 3 lucky participants. The survey will be open for the next 3 weeks and will thus close on Wednesday, 3 December 2008.

So hop, skip & jump over to the WooThemes Survey and get cracking on those questions… It’ll only take you 5 minutes… :)

Question 10 might need an additional option. For those of us who use to be WooThemes members but have let our subscription expire. Can’t figure out whether I should say yes I’m a member or no I’m not a member.

Complete. Great survey, but I have to think more about the future suggestions part. Also, question 31 looks like it has Expressions Engine listed 2x.

Finished the survey and hoping to be lucky enough to get a subscription here.
I’ve always wanted to get a great Portfolio Theme from here, but just don’t have enough money as a 17 year young poor Filipino Blogger.

The question on how you found Woo Themes only relates to blogs, search engines or banner ads. It is missing Magazine. You could then have had a text box for us to say which Magazine.

I was lucky enough to find you through my subscription to the awesome Web Designer magazine. Issue 149, on the Wordpress etc.

    Thanks

    Liam

    A thing on the polls.

Some questions might now have totally accurate results since there is no way to select multiple answers.

For example “What do you use Wordpress for”. What if I use it for personal AND business use? ;)

Oh well, i’ll just pick one!

Q.33 – Are you currently subscribed to one of the following WooThemes communications?

This question is listed as mandatory and doesn’t have the option “None of the Above”

It made me lie, I feel ashamed.

    12 November 2008 at 5:34 pm #

Well, I HAD to say I was subscribing to something in the second last question…. I guess you should make it an option to be honest and say you don’t :-)

And……. done. Nice work guys, the poll needs a few more options but otherwise, well done for challenging your business processes and ideas by getting feedback from your subscribers and the theme community.

    Dear Sir,

    Please check your question (Q.31)
If you answered yes above, for which platforms would you buy themes from WooThemes?

You have repeated Expression Engine twice (Textpattern is obmitted by mistake, I guess)

My answer to question 30 is
    YES

and I would like to tick TEXTPATTERN.

    Sincerely

    Lau

Ok, I meant to put in the form that if you made a theme for MoveableType that I might try it… but I had MT for so long, years ago, that I don’t know if I want to go back.
