Making Sense of the Upcoming

by Adii Rockstar in WooThemes News

We know that we’ve been bombarding you with a lot of new theme concepts of late; and that amidst us not even releasing some themes that we’ve showed you quite a while back. Well there’s method in our madness…

First up, we’ve tried to create a new space for you to keep track of all the different teasers / previews that we’ve posted on the blog. This “Themes in Progress” page is also accessible from the navigation menu’s in our footer and you should check there regularly if you want to drool… :)

Secondly, we’re getting through us much work as possible in the next 2 months, so that we can have a bit of a rest in December & early January. So whilst we’ll be blogging, releasing new themes and providing support during that time, we won’t be working overly hard on new stuff. Everybody needs a break ya’know…

And lastly, we wanted to tease you a little more before we leave… We have been working with 3 awesome designers – Veerle Pieters (2nd time), Sam Brown & Sarah Parmenter – on 3 new & unique designs which we will probably preview in the next week or two. We also unexpectedly purchased a design submitted to us by a very talented, young designer Ajmal Eylia last week. So there’s another 4 new themes which we need to show pretty soon.

Your only choice is thus to stay up-to-date.

Enjoy your time during the holiday season. These teasers have me pumped. I have projects lined up for just about all the new themes to be released. If I could make one request though please release Delegate. That theme looks great for product and service websites. Postcard has me excited to start my own blog which is something I have left on the back burner. Plus that theme would make an excellent local directory.

    Even more madness #!@#*(+

I thought showing us 6-7 teasers were plenty enough.. now we have 10 teasers without the actually product.

It’s like showing candies to a little boy and telling them you can’t have them until next year. Or placing “Playboy Playmates” next to you but telling them you can’t touch them.

    When will this madness stop.

Can’t wait to see exposure released. I’m actually WAITING to do a project until that drops. :)

Exposure is probably a week or so away from release and I can guarantee you that you’ll be impressed! :) Foxinni has really out-done himself on the development of Exposure and it’s definitely gonna be a landmark theme for us.

Yep – we love unearthing some amazing, young talent. And are quite excited about the next breed of great designers to join our ranks.

Any word on when themes for Magento will be developed? Is that something that’s being worked on now, or planned for the future?

That is on hold for now, and we don’t have any concrete plans as of today unfortunately. Let’s see how drupal goes first :) Baby steps…
