Need Some Therapy?
10. Sep, 2009 by Adii Rockstar in Theme Concepts

We can’t let a week go by without us showing you some new awesomeness, that we’ll be adding to our themes collection in the near future. And that awesomeness is probably compounded by the fact that it’ll most probably end up being a free release as well…
And Therapy should go down ever better, after you voted for another new, free theme – Rockstar (preview the beta here) – which will be available on WooThemes in the next 2 weeks. So that’s probably 2 new free themes, that will be bulking up our collection of free themes. Excited yet?
Before we show you what the theme looks like, here’s a little bit more detail… The theme was designed by Izuddin Helmi who also worked on the massively popular Irresistible, Meta-Morphosis (both free) and three Groovy Series themes. So based on that we wanted Izuddin to re-create some of that magic in Therapy (and another concept titled my.stream which we’ll show to you pretty soon). So this would be Izuddin’s 6 theme on WooThemes already…
With Therapy we wanted to produce a simple – yet extremely powerful, feature-rich & flexible – personal blog theme. Yes, you can download these for free elsewhere as well, but none looks so good and works as great as our themes do; so there’s always a gap in the WP community for another WooTheme. Therapy sports our rock-solid WooFramework backend and along with post image & video support, custom page templates & a bunch of custom widgets (including the awesome Social Profiles widget at the top of the sidebar), this is sure to be a winner.
Gagging to see the theme already?
Here you go…
So what do you think? Looking forward to seeing the theme live? Anything you’d change perhaps?

Beautiful. I’m loving the bubbles in the header. So…bubbly.
Rock on WooCoders!
10 September 2009 at 6:53 am #
Yeah, very nice graphics.
10 September 2009 at 7:03 am #
Thanks Brad! Coming from an awesome designer like yourself, we regard that as a significant compliment!
10 September 2009 at 7:05 am #
by izuddin hilmi? he is awesome!
10 September 2009 at 7:05 am #
I quite like the theme, I see how it could be turned into a nice portfolio site.
The only thing I would add to it graphic wise would be some very sublte gradients here and there to loose the very flat feeling of the content part.
10 September 2009 at 7:23 am #
Very nice. I like the gradient fade in the background.
10 September 2009 at 7:25 am #
I can see a major upcoming problem here ! Woo Fans are spoilt for choice. We don’t know which theme to use. They all are brilliant & therefore makes choosing difficult!!
10 September 2009 at 8:01 am #
Hehe, but that’s a nice problem to have not?
10 September 2009 at 10:58 am #
Yups!
10 September 2009 at 3:42 pm #
Agreed! I just implemented Antisocial, but I’m totally digging Therapy!! I have a feeling my Therapy may end up being a blog redesign every few months thanks to the seductive new designs from the WooCrew!! Keep it up, guys!!
11 September 2009 at 2:08 am #
We’re “sorry” for being so seductive!?
10 September 2009 at 7:27 am #
Great looking theme, been longing for a personal blog theme.
Maybe you should have a look at the page navigator at the bottom. The theme looks solid but then it fails on the navigator.
10 September 2009 at 8:16 am #
Yep, the page nav has been fixed
10 September 2009 at 8:31 am #
Nice one! Maybe I’d instead put the title just below the page navigation without a black box around it and make the dark area at the top, thinner…
10 September 2009 at 8:46 am #
Therapy is looking very nice. Should be very easy to customize the way it is laid out.
This is nitpicking, but I would try to change the small calendar icon, simply because you can read the number on it, seems like one more small detail that could be tweaked.
When can we expect this to be released?
10 September 2009 at 3:12 pm #
I kinda like the fact that the calendar icon has a number!
And Therapy should be available within this month still!
10 September 2009 at 3:24 pm #
An icon is easy to change, so certainly no deal breaker. Looking forward to implementing this one.
10 September 2009 at 8:51 am #
Yet another very nice theme, Adii!
Love the bubbles and the nice layout. The form has been neatly done as well, great!
P.S. I love the Mainstream theme as well – will start soon working on my own implementation of it for my personal website.
10 September 2009 at 3:11 pm #
Looking forward to seeing your modification of Mainstream. Definitely one of our most downloaded & popular free themes at the moment.
10 September 2009 at 10:24 am #
Everything very nicely formed and proportioned. Good contrast. It feels solid and readable. Nice
10 September 2009 at 10:46 am #
I can’t believe this awesome theme will be free!
10 September 2009 at 11:01 am #
Awesome Theme Cant wait to see it live
10 September 2009 at 12:09 pm #
Why will this theme be free? It looks awesome and I’d pay for it.
10 September 2009 at 3:02 pm #
Comments like this will definitely make us re-think that possibility!
11 September 2009 at 11:17 pm #
Please do it! If WooThemes site gets more profitable, you’ll be encouraged to create more great themes for us, that will generate more income for you, and so on. Like a snowball, in a way that everybody wins
12 September 2009 at 1:16 am #
I actually love the way that sounds!
So your vote is to release Therapy as a paid theme then?
12 September 2009 at 9:24 am #
Aye, sir!
10 September 2009 at 12:32 pm #
I like it. Great layout. Clean, but functional.
-Could the ads be moved out of the header and into the sidebar?
-Bigger footer option?
10 September 2009 at 2:53 pm #
There is actually another ads widget for the sidebar, but we can look into replacing the ads with an option for different things.
What would you like in the footer?
10 September 2009 at 12:36 pm #
nice – if you make this free I’ll definitely jump on it!
10 September 2009 at 12:38 pm #
Quite similar to Consultant theme relised yesterday by Premiumthemes (http://premiumthemes.net/demo/consultant/), but believe it will be even better, evenif its free. Instead of adspots I would like to see blogger picture.
10 September 2009 at 2:50 pm #
I actually don’t think it’s similar at all. In fact, I think that Consultant is a very unique theme indeed and great work by Bhavesh.
10 September 2009 at 3:16 pm #
Consultant isn’t even close, maybe I need glasses…
10 September 2009 at 2:51 pm #
Love it!!!
10 September 2009 at 6:16 pm #
Great theme, and it will be more if you integrate it with get gravatar such anti social
10 September 2009 at 7:36 pm #
Totally digging this theme. I love…Love…LOVE the integration of social media across themes like Mainstream, Antisocial, and (now) Therapy. Can’t wait for this!
11 September 2009 at 2:07 am #
We heard someone say that social media was kinda big, so we figured we might need to integrate that into all of our themes…
11 September 2009 at 1:38 am #
Wow! Just wow! This is a great looking theme and if it’s going to be free, then WooThemes takes the crown for best themes anywhere!
11 September 2009 at 2:06 am #
We see you already have the avatar to support this design!
And unfortunately it’s still only a possibility that this will be a free release. But ultimately that’s a decision we’ll need to take in the next couple of weeks.
11 September 2009 at 2:58 am #
Backstage?……(please!)
11 September 2009 at 3:08 am #
Backstage is taking a little bit longer than expected, but it is definitely coming!
11 September 2009 at 2:59 am #
Stunning theme. Quite honestly, just from the previews it looks better than some of the paid themes you guys have, and that’s saying a lot.
Keep raising that bar.
11 September 2009 at 3:09 am #
Thanks for the great compliment!
You guys & girls however need to be careful here, because we might end up selling the theme instead of releasing it as a free download…
11 September 2009 at 6:38 am #
I say sell it!
And woho for us that are subscribers!
Would love to see more themes like this.
Again, great job.
11 September 2009 at 3:38 pm #
I would love to see, even if it’s optional, the ability to upload an author pic in the bio section at the top as in Mainstream, or even pull in the gravatar as the author picture. You guys are the best! Keep it up!
12 September 2009 at 1:14 am #
Noted! That may be a cool option to add to Therapy before release!
11 September 2009 at 6:12 pm #
I’ve been dying to buy some more themes, but money is tight right now. So if you release this as a free theme, I will totally <3 you forever.
11 September 2009 at 9:53 pm #
WooThemes really seems to be taking it up a notch. Just when I’ve settled on using one of your themes for a personal blog, you come up with something new that totally grabs my attention.
12 September 2009 at 9:36 am #
Here’s a suggestion for the homepage header. It would be good if the user could choose from showing a ‘lil about me + 2 125×125 ads on the top (as on the preview) OR a 728×90 ad space. I’d probably choose the 728 ad.
14 September 2009 at 1:18 am #
That’s actually a pretty good suggestion I think. Not many of our themes can actually accommodate a 728 leaderboard ad; so we might just integrate that with Therapy.
12 September 2009 at 9:37 am #
Optional ad spaces good.
12 September 2009 at 11:04 am #
I am excited for this (And also Rockstar!!) Too many choices is right
14 September 2009 at 1:14 am #
Hehe, that’s how we love to roll here at WooThemes. Having options is definitely a good thing and with 40+ amazing themes to choose from already, your choice is only gonna get “harder”!
13 September 2009 at 8:49 pm #
This theme looks great (as usual!!!) I was thinking what would be really nice is instead of the area at the top of the page containing the personal bio and ad spots, I think a theme option to have a jquery slider in there to feature ‘latest work’ would be great.
Cheers
14 September 2009 at 1:11 am #
We’ll consider adding that, but ultimately we don’t want to bloat the theme with too many options. Thanks for the suggestion however; it might just make it into the final release!
14 September 2009 at 2:39 pm #
Thats another great looking and quality theme! I’m glad I became a subscriber.
15 September 2009 at 1:33 am #
That’s the kind of thing that we love to hear around here at WooThemes!
We hope you’re finding value throughout (i.e. not only in new theme releases) by being a club member!?
14 September 2009 at 4:54 pm #
Definitely my favorite personal theme thus far. Can’t wait!
15 September 2009 at 1:28 am #
Why would you say this is your personal favourite?
16 September 2009 at 3:01 am #
Sorry, I would much prefer the Rockstar theme rather than this one..
16 September 2009 at 4:42 pm #
Love everything but the bubble background. Lose that and I’m in.
17 September 2009 at 11:12 pm #
I have 2 requests
1. Please put on a promotion of buy 1 get 2 free standard again
2. Make a theme that would be good for a spirituality site
thanks
18 September 2009 at 12:18 am #
1. We have a 2-for-1 as standard!
See our pricing page for more info.
2. Maybe you can explain what makes a good spirituality site?
21 September 2009 at 2:11 pm #
This is one awesome design by Izzudin again. That breadcrumb is pretty cool on the Post Page & I really like the Icons used.
Very clean, awesome design.
:Observed, Izzudin’s design structure is very similar but yet very different
(like using dark grey, white rounded corers design and a huge bg)
)-No offense !
But hell yeah, I’m jealous. really great one !
21 September 2009 at 2:43 pm #
Glad you like!
And hoping you saw that your site was included on the Showcase today?
21 September 2009 at 3:43 pm #
no, let me see..
Btw, Can you guys tell me what font used for headings in this theme? I’m just lovin’ that funky “g”
27 September 2009 at 2:10 pm #
No one replying !
25 September 2009 at 10:35 am #
Very attractive theme! What are the supported ad sizes going to be for it?
25 September 2009 at 7:37 pm #
awesome looking theme, can’t wait!!
btw is the search field missing?
