We have been working on our tumblog themes for quite a while now and the only reason that we haven’t produced something more concrete until now, is because we wanted to make sure that the themes would be truly groundbreaking in every single aspect thereof.
So this is the first preview of our first two tumblog themes – Cinch & Slanted. Both were designed by Cobus and will feature amazing jQuery wizardry and some CSS3 advancements (for those cool kids that know all about using superior browsers). In the backend we’re also planning a few surprises that we hope to get as close to a proper Tumblr-style tumblog experience as possible.
Both themes should be ready later this month, but for now these teasers will have to keep you satisfied…

I was THIS close to switching one of my blogs from WP to Tumblr, so I am super excited to see what Woo has whipped up.
I recall once reading here about a compatible iPhone app to upload to the Tumblr-like theme from Woo. Is this in the works as well?

Looks amazing! I cannot wait for this to come out. I’m at a crossroads now where I want to be able to have more Tumblr like functionality but need more control on the backend and I’m thisclose to just throwing up my hands and building something myself in Django. Clearly, I’d much rather have a really good theme I could customize (I have NO time as it is). Thanks Woo, can’t wait!

Aw that’s too bad. I mean it’s good for WordPress folks but I was hoping you’d be creating actual Tumblr themes as well. I guess you have to have a focus. Either way, it’ll be sweet I’m sure.
Actual Tumblr themes are still a possibility we’re exploring. Continue watching this space!
I recently moved from WordPress to Tumblr for my site. But with the looks and functionality of this, I just might be coming home to WordPress. I really like Cinch. Can’t wait for this to drop!

You’ll only have to wait a little bit more… The beta testers may have their first opportunity to play with Cinch & Slanted late next week already… So the wait is almost over!

I’ve been waiting for a good tumblelog theme for WordPress for a very long time. Like Chelle, I’ve been holding off buying 3 for 1 because I really want to include a tumblelog theme in the purchase.
