Sometimes we release stuff without telling you guys and in recent weeks we’ve probably made it a habit to do a soft release of new features (to serve as a beta of sorts), before announcing these features publicly.
So another one of these features to have (silently) made it into the WooFramework, is the ability to automatically update the WooFramework from older versions. The early version of this functionality looks like this:
This functionality is available in the latest version of our framework, so if you haven’t already got that in your theme, you need to update to the latest version manually. To activate this new feature, you need to go to “Framework Settings” and enable the option before you can use it.
The updating of the WooFramework currently only works with the FTP protocol, so you would need to enter your FTP details when prompted to enable this. This is however the same way in which you can install & activate plugins directly from the dashboard and we have thus kept as much of this consistent with those processes.

Thanks mate , I was surprise by this article .This is really cool ,Keep on posting !
Well, This seems to give ease of work with your framework > Very nice way to update the framework like activating plugins in my blog > congrates to WooTeam
Definitely a nice feature. You always seem to be pushing the boundaries of Commercial WordPress themes and this is just another one of those things the rest of us will have to catch up on
It would be nice to have an explanation of exactly what files are upgraded when we choose to upgrade the framework. I for one have modified many files within the themes including the functions and theme option files.
It’s always been a concern of mine when it comes to updating the framework, so I do it by hand.
Having this information would really help a lot.
