Promoting Apz

by Adii Rockstar in New Themes

We’re going back to the niches with our next release of Apz, which we believe will be the perfect theme to showcase & promote your iPhone / Blackberry / mobile app… Heck, we even think it’d be amazing for web apps or as a standard business theme due to the flexible controls we’ve built into the theme (to make it more generic if you so choose).

This is what you can look forward to…

Looks good. Must confess one of the other niches I’m interested in is the splash-page. Very useful for advocacy and political website (i.e. the email sign up page).

What would you do for a splash page though i.e. what would you include?

Having just made a few for clients…

        • consistent branding with the main site
        • big ol’ headline
        • a graphic to display a giveway or something (like an ebook cover)
        • an opt-in box (to get on a newsletter list)
        • a “click through to the main site” button”

        That’s a start, at least!

That’s about right. I’d also add: no menu navigation or side bars.

Count me as one who would love to see a site with a landing page included – Opt-in email signup would be key for me.

Easy implementation with Gravity Forms, Mail Chimp or Campaign Monitor would also be good. (This goes for most of your themes actually…)

I would have the left-side content area available for general markup (like copy) or a video. Big opt-in box on the right, but possibly using a separate sidebar so multiple widgets can be placed there (like the Mail Chimp/Campaign Monitor snippets).

I have a feeling you guys will do a great job on this. The simple app website theme has not been done well so far on wordpress. Total shock…because the web is full of amazing examples in the wild.

I’m really eager to get my hands on this one! Bring it on! It looks great so far from the teasers.

Speaking of niche sites, I have yet to see -anyone- create a form based lead generation landing page theme, hint hint. You know like a hybrid business and lead gen site such as something that can be used for an auto finance site, or debt relief, etc.

Look forward to you app site offering, perhaps I can hack the phone slider out and replace it with a form. :)

it is beautiful to see that you again and again present themes for a small, special groups of bloggers – all right.

but what is with a new one, non specific personal blog theme for the masses (no special themes like tumblr, maps, video, magazine), a really nice, modern designed universal theme for the classical, traditionally blog? (as example – the grant style from Magnus personal page is perfect)

    regard, R.

This is actually already on our to do list and you can probably expect a freebie like this coming your way sooner rather than later.

    looks amazing!

will the theme act as a multiple app website? ie have support for multiple splash app pages or just one?

Apz, as it is now with the first release, will probably be best-suited to only one app, but it will be able to function as a multi-app store in an equally impressive way. So nothing limits you from adding more than one app.

Already have a project ready for this theme. Web app not Iphone. A quick change of the phone graphic into a nice computer screen and it should be ready to go. Can’t wait.

I’d take a splash page, but since I use my own opt-in code, it would need to be it’s own div so I can just insert the code. might be useful to have an “insert opt in form code here” in the Woo framework. With options for different color backgrounds, left or right side opt in box placement, left or right side graphic… custom heading. That should about do it. :-)

In some ways I’m liking this one more than Optimize. Not only will it make for a great App site, it’s perfect for a web shop, hosting firm or any other small business. I look at it and think damn, I wish I had designed that.
