As recently promised we’re releasing another theme based on our usual winning formula, after a string of more niche theme designs.
Spectrum is a visually rich magazine-based theme designed by Chris Rowe – who we have previously worked with on the popular BlogTheme and Gotham News.
With Spectrum the home page is a visually rich layout showcasing your website content via engaging imagery, and a featured scroller available to highlight noteworthy blog posts scattered across numerous categories (it’s a tag based scroller).
The blue style for Spectrum - one of 10 alternate styles available.
Whilst its usage would by default be for magazine-style publishers it could also efficiently be used by photographers and designers as a portfolio based theme thanks to its image heavy home page.

I already have a site in mind for this, I am currently using Mortar for a screenshots site, epicscreens.com, but I will be expanding into articles, this looks perfect. Another awesome theme, good job guys.
Funny you should mention Mortar – I’ve got a client using Mortar, and I’ve been wanting to switch them to something else. Spectrum looks perfect for what they do, and could be the perfect replacement.

Maybe… We do however have other themes lined up for EE in the short term future.
looks very nice – but maybe you forgot the custom field vor the video embed code, because it´s just for the image there. If you use the widget for woo video embed it doesn´t show a video. Even if you paste it via html in the post.

Great theme to compliment others. I have been playing around with it on the demo site — great tool, by the way.
Is there any way to add a few (selectable) full width posts (with images) on homepage like with some other themes. This would be sweet. Also, having featured panel image height configurable would be good.
I really like the css styling… a bit different. Woothemes is always moving the bar.
I love this theme but is there a way to bring the page navigation down so that it sits right on top of the category navigation?
Yes it’s fairly easy moving the code. We can help you out in the forum.

Hi,
now I must criticise you a little. I find your Magazine-Themes not quite good. They look very easy everybody and unimaginative. There looks one like the other.
You should also contrive sometimes what the new, as for example a news-Theme. You could follow, for example, an example with Wpzoom. There a Theme does not look like the other. Particularly what concerns magazines or News-Themes.

Is it posible to customized Featured images with small picture, because we dont have a big images like in your themes default. Another things are: is it posible to insert another banner ads, lets say: 300x250pixel in the widget position and 728x90pixel above the menu to replace 468x60pixel. Thanks!

The image sizes for the front page can’t be changed in width, only in height.
It’s possible to add different size banners through our adspace widget, and you could also tweak the top banner to have 728 width too.
