Uniting Conversation

by Adii Rockstar in New Themes

Here’s another teaser of an upcoming theme that we are extremely excited to release very soon… Unite was designed by the uber-talented Rogie King and it’s been unfortunate that this one has been sitting in our backlog for so long, BUT it’s only because we’ve had to develop something superbly unique to make the theme truly special.

When Rogie initially designed the theme, he had a vision for a commenting system that would change the way that readers commented on a blog post. To say that this was a challenge integrating would be an understatement, but Jeff has done amazing work to make this a reality.

For now though, you need to be content with a graphical teaser instead…

Not really content… Now I am really curious to see how the interaction will take place.

Nice innovations guys – I just joined a few weeks ago with your 5-1 special.

    I’m interested to try something.

I’m using City Guide on http://www.1lovelondon.com, and I plan to hook in Realtor and Uniting Conversation using sub domains. Could it become a hub for my city? I don’t know but I think these 3 themes working in together could be cool. Worth a shot eh?

You’ve set yourself a nice challenge there and we’re keen to see you pulling it off! :)

If it uses the Twitter api to capture tweets about your blog posts… I may have just wet myself.

Hehe, nope it’s not that. Not sure whether you are fortunate or unfortunate in that regard now… :)

Yeah, I’m not a big fan of snakes either; they freak me out ever so slightly.

Especially snakes that peak around corners…

The Twitter feature looks interesting, does it call the user profile picture to show in the theme?

No, the worst snake of all is the one that’s waiting for you at the very top of the oh so steep peak, when you’re too exhausted to fight back. If only you had been smart enough to sneak-a-peek before ascending all the way…

Grammer nazi evolved people; thank you very much, you’ve been great!

Looks and sounds interesting. What type of theme will this be? A straight up blog theme or something a little more creative?

Might this address any features one might love in a good WP social networking plugin? Really not satisfied with the offerings out there (BuddyPress, et al).

If not, I would do sick nasty things to have you all come up with a theme that features it’s social networking-like functionality.

    :)

I second that! Sick nasty things in exchange for social networking functionality! I need it for my next project :)

      Rock the Woo!

I second that too … nasty things for social networking would be great …

Haha, you guys are funny. :)

This won’t feature BuddyPress integration (but expect a move from us in this regard soon-ish) and the functionality that we have alluded to is much more niche focused. So don’t expect a major overhaul of social networking that would allow you to have Facebook powered by WP… Still expect something totally awesome though!

:) Cool, I figured this would be a request for later. Simple Facebook Connect is pretty slick for that sort of thing. I really want a self-contained Woo theme that facilitates what Buddy Press and others have tried to do, but in my opinion fall short. You Woo Ninjas are awesome, so I just assume have all the Awesome be distilled at the source;)

This is gonna be an awesome theme because Han Solo and exploding Star Destroyers are in the teaser.

Unfortunately there are no coupon codes available at the moment… But drop us a mail and we’ll see whether we could possibly find one somewhere.

Thanks a lot :) Now I’m really excited! Please answer just one question in advance: Is it a tumblr-style wordpress theme or is it a tumblr theme?

(Keeping my fingers crossed for wp theme.) ;)
