Things never slow down at the WooHQ, and to add some more fire to our bellies, we’d like to announce a new joint venture that is coming to WooThemes… We’ve been working behind the scenes to negotiate a collaboration that would see us working with the incredible guys over at WPBundle, which means that you can expect some amazing themes (all bundled) coming your way in the next month or two. ![]()
After we heard that WPBundle’s Kickstarter project failed to reach its goals, we contacted Liam (lead designer & co-founder at WPBundle, who we had worked with a couple of times already) about helping out with the project and making sure that it actually launches. The end-result of a few hefty discussions is that WPBundle will now officially be “powered by WooThemes” and we’ll be working side-by-side with their team to bring you even more awesomeness!
The Nitty Gritty
We’d like to get into some nitty gritty with regards to our collaboration & joint venture, as we’re sure that you’re gonna have many questions…
Firstly, we can mention that WPBundle will remain a separate entity & project all-together, and even though it’ll be powered by WooThemes, we haven’t acquired them or any of that jazz. We are simply working with them to combine some of our resources to release themes that are truly great.
The extent to which we’ll be combining resources includes: WPBundle themes will be developed on top of the WooFramework, we’ll be integrating our membership backend with theirs (so that both sets of users can benefit from the other’s products) and we’ll be doing some cross-promotional campaigns. Logically you can see WPBundle as an independent, sub-division of WooThemes if you like (contradictory, but it works).
So themes on WPBundle will only be available on WPBundle, and our themes won’t be made available on WPBundle either. Our subscriptions too will be untouched in this regard, and WPBundle’s releases won’t ever become available via our club. You can kinda compare WPBundle’s releases to that of MacHeist every year.
The First Bundle
Liam & his team have been working on the themes for a while now and they’ll soon be able to do some internal beta testing. We’re hoping that the first bundle will see the light of day in September, but you know how these things go sometimes… ![]()
What’s important is that we’re very excited to release the first bundle with the WPBundle crew and the 10 core themes that will be included in that first bundle are sure to blow you away (teasers here).
What’s Next?
For now (unfortunately for you), you will need to wait patiently for us to get the first themes ready… As soon as we get closer to release, we’ll be publishing more details on pricing, availability and all the other bits & bobs that you are bound to want to know.
In the meantime you should obviously follow us here to get the latest news, but we highly recommend that you tune into WPBundle directly, as they’ll be publishing teasers & smaller updates there more frequently.
Finally: we hope you’re as excited as we are!? ![]()

Insane. Moves like this are THE reason that WooThemes is on top. Well done!
Awesome! Can’t wait to see what comes out of this. I love what WooThemes offers and have been impressed with WPBundle since they started posting screen shots.
We’ve obviously seen the complete mockups for the themes and we can say one thing: they’re amazing!
I hope the designs will be good, new and fresh this time Adii..
Not like the previous theme…
I expect a lot from Woothemes so that I can buy your amazing stuff for my customers
Good Luck
The designs are hot. Very!
is good!
You should post your name in both Chinese and English… so we can understand… my friend
Very smart business decision!
You don’t think that most of the members will move to WPBundle and you will lost a lot of subscribers?
WPBundle is just a competitor for you guys.
This bundle thing is not gonna be frequent bro… So its just like sometimes… and they are the one’s who are gonna eat up max of everything… so its not a big deal… they are the one who are gonna be in profit
Nope, this isn’t a concern at all and we can see our users buying WPBundle to compliment their subscriptions with Woo (and vice versa).
I only wish I had heard of this project sooner, to get in on the special pricing. Either way, I will be a customer. Very impressive looking screens.
This is probably the first theme set release that I would pay full price in advance just to beta.
I beleive this is a really great news and really think that woothemes is company managed by trully intelligent people. This is why I have been following you guys since the beginning ! congrats
Sounds cool!
The previews of the photoblogging/gallery theme have me way ineterested…
I am hopeful that WooThemes club members will get some perk in this collaboration.
You guys have been so great that I am halfway expecting it, but won’t get my hopes up until I see official word.
Also, for the life of me, I can’t find pricing of this ANYWHERE…
We have some ideas in this regard and will make these details available when we announce the pricing.
@Matt Stigall It was mentioned in the post, but pricing details are yet to be decided and announced. We’ll work something out that works best for everyone and we’ll give you a heads up about the details in plenty of time before the full launch.
Thanks. The marketing of this so far has been brilliant with your teasers.
Damn you!
Speaking as a competitor, this is not fair. It’s cheating
Liam has got real good talent. Kudos.
We’re just good like that. Oh, I mean fancy pants & awesome.
Interesting. Although, I’m very curious to find out how their support model will work.
Support will be according to our model & policy; so you can expect seamless integration across WooThemes & WPBundle.
Is there any eta available?
O.M.G!
Each and every screenshot blows you away. I wish everything could be bundled in one theme, I have a need for all of that.
Really incredible stuff! I’m really inspired by the creativity and unlimited uses for wordpress.
OMG indeed.
We’re extremely excited about this & can’t wait to release these beauties with WPBundle.
Okay. I’m ready. Show me the themes.
Soon.
Congratulations and Good Luck with the WP bundle collaboration
Any updates on WPBundle? Are we looking at a Oct or Nov release?
