We’ve been wanting to release a theme specifically for charities & non-profit organizations for ages, but in the past we’ve just not been able to prioritize time to do this. Plus we’ve always known that any of our other themes (especially our business themes) could be adapted and use for this purpose. Yet somehow this just sit right with us and then we got the opportunity recently to work with the incredibly talented Matthew Smith on a new design.
Matthew’s portfolio just lent itself perfectly to this charity / non-profit design that we had in mind and within only a couple of days of working with Matthew, he beautifully finished a design which is now available as Saving Grace.
First thing that is notable about the design, is that Matthew really is an expert at paying attention to the minor details which is probably most clearly visible in the stunning typography throughout the design. On the homepage, we’ve tried something new with a spiffy new slider that rolls around in the background, which too is quite textured to provide added depth to the experience. In terms of functionality, the homepage follows our tried-and-trusted recipe which we apply to all similar themes.
The donation & progress tracking functionality has been added as an unique addition to Saving Grace, which makes this theme a great choice for charities and non-profits. As a V1 of this theme, we’ve added the basics to enable you to accept donations and manually update the progress bar. On our road map though, is to integrate WooCommerce (as soon as it is ready), which will see a much tighter and seamless integration of managing donations in Saving Grace.
We’re incredibly excited about this theme, as it takes us into a new territory which we’re hoping to grow into in the next couple of months. The road map and pending integration of WooCommerce is also something that we hope to get to soon, as that represents a large chunk of our strategy for future theme releases.
Until then though, have a click around the demo of Saving Grace or you can find the theme features here.

A big salute for WooThemes’s Non-Profit Theme. It is fantastic with PayPal donation options!
This rocks, it’s almost like having a personal Kickstarter just to yourself. Certainly brings a touch of modern to the old fashioned sounding word that is charity.
Oh, and anyone who wants instant flamingo amazement should check out the ‘Light’ variant on the demo
Also agree with @Elliot it has a kickstarter feel! i like it
Beautiful. Any chance it supports buddypress?
David
There is no BuddyPress support unfortunately.
Can the paypal option be disabled?
I would be interested to integrate it with 2checkout.com rather than paypal. How hard would that be?
We only have an option for PayPal atm. Any other integration would have to be customized.
So the paypal option cant be disabled through the theme options?
Yes you can disable paypal, but if you don’t add paypal then the Donate button will not be active though.
I believe Matty added an option for a custom donation link if you don’t want to use PayPal.
On our roadmap for WooCommerce is to eventually add it to themes such as Saving Grace, which would mean you would have more gateway / checkout options.
I have been anxiously waiting for what was going to be next, and this theme has perfect timing. I was thinking about what I needed, and you guys delivered what is needed.
I hope I get to use this one soon.
Great job as always.
Thanks
Gorgeous theme. Love the image slider.
oh yeah…btw…who’s bubblestorm management and where’s that money going?
That is paypal@woothemes.com (Our registered company name is Bubblestorm)
Fantastic! Maybe time to give my non profit a facelift?
)
When will we see Mr. Clark’s theme live? I’ve got a project that I’m waiting on it for. (please say today?
It will be out this or next week, depending on which theme we release next
If you know where to look, you can have a look at it already.
Won’t say more than that.
I really love it!!!
Is it possible use a donate button like a link to another page (and switch off a donation bar)? I would like to use this theme for my personal webpage.
Hi Rene,
This is available in the theme as of V1.0.0 (current version).
Thanks and regards,
Matty.
Thank you. And just one thing – which font do you use in the headlines?
I make it to be Adelle by TypeTogether, Rene.

Thank you very much. It supports czech letters so everything is OK.
I love this. So beautiful and functional!
Thanks Tracy, definitely an awesome theme. Any use for it in the near future?
Do you know, that in the Light version of this theme (which I like most) you can’t see headlines on pages like Contact, Full Width, About Us etc.? Because there are white on the white background.
Thanks for noticing
We’ll fix it now.
The non-profits I work with are big on promoting and selling tickets to upcoming events, besides basic annual fundraising. I hope that feature can be added into future versions as well as maybe online silent auctions.
Don, could be a possibility once integrated with WooCommerce.
Amazing work. This really is a breath of fresh in terms of WordPress design and functionality. I love it!
Wow really love the typography! Well done Matt!
Wow very nicely done!
Glad to see that idea finally came to fruition.
This is really out of the box for you guys. Congrats on your move to application-esque work. I’m anxious to see more of it.
Thanks Garret,
If you are interested in our app work, will be looking forward to what you think about one of our next themes.
Ohhhh…Thank you Woo Themes – Hardly wait to use this one. This would be great for almost any sort of fundraiser – even a school-based fete or similar.
I also know of a woman who has a charity for women who have been infected by aids that have been shunned from their society (yes – very saaaad topic and not exactly woo theme happy!) so I will let her know about this one.
Thank you!!!!
Catie,
We would love to see Saving Grace helping out some awesome charities and worthy schools! We’re excited to see what comes of the theme.
Really nice. Is it possible to donate to multiple causes? Or is there only one-cause donation functionality?
