    Nothing for existing customers?

It’s a good deal for new customers, but yeah, I was a bit hopeful that, as a club subscriber, I might get a bit more off WC extensions. Don’t mean to sound ungrateful, it’s just that buying WC extensions is a bit of a pain for us in the US due to the fact that the payment processor WT uses is overseas and if one wants to buy more than one extension of the same price, one must make two purchases, and the 2nd one flags my debit and credit card as a fraudulent charge. :( Would love it if the WC extension site here had a shopping cart!

This is a sale directed at new customers only unfortunately, just like any other sale tomorrow :)

We did release some new goodies for current subscribers today though if you look over here: http://www.woothemes.com/2011/11/what-do-we-have-in-store-for-you-today/

Mmm, was thinking about upgrading to a Developer’s subscription and was hoping for maybe a discount here for us subscribers. Bit disappointing.

The “BLACKCLUB” coupon will enable the 20% discount if you upgrade to a Developer Subscription via your dashboard.

i was just wondering if you could tell me what it is that you feel you aren’t getting in the standard club membership? are the photoshop files that important? im just asking cause im wondering which one i should join if any….thanks

      • Sarah
        25 November 2011 at 10:33 am #

The standard subscription is fine, it’s just that I am wanting to customise the sites more and more and it would just be a bit easier to do this with the design files.

This is always something that pops up when we do promotion… What kind of promotion do you think we could offer club members? :)

      • Brian O'Neill
        25 November 2011 at 6:29 pm #

As a club member for over 3 years years now, I too am annoyed at there being no specials for existing members, it is a bit of kick in the teeth for your loyal users.

At the very least why not offer a discount if you pay the fee for one year of membership in advance?

And make it for standard and developer.

If makes sense to offer some of discount if people are going to show faith in your by paying for a year in advance.

    • Mark Forrester
      24 November 2011 at 6:06 pm #

We’ve got an upgrade special from std to dev club subscriptions. We’ve also just added a 50% discount on WooCommerce extensions for active club members only. Hope it helps.

A 50% for plugins is nice! could be great if you offer a discount for one year membership pay or a discount in our next month bill…

        Cheers!

quote: “Buy any Standard Package (normally $70) with a 20% discount for only $56. We also include an additional two bonus themes, so you’ll be getting 5 Standard Package themes for only $56.”

    Surely it’s 3 standard themes for $56!? I don’t get it.

    • Luke
      24 November 2011 at 5:55 pm #

Ohhh, are you giving two bonus themes on-top of the initial two bonus themes?

      So four bonus themes?

      • Magnus

        Correct! 5-for-1 :)

Do i need to select the 5 themes at the time of the payment?
          If not:
How much time do i have to select them?

          Thanks!

          • Magnus
            24 November 2011 at 6:34 pm #

No you get bonus “credits” when you checkout as noted on the checkout screen. There is no time limit on when you have to use these bonus credits, but please note that only themes available upon purchase can be selected from, not future themes.

No, buy one get four free.

Instead of the usual buy one get two free.

which woocommerce extentions are hot? can you recommend one or two that are seriously beneficial to a woocommerce site? what would be your top 5? thanks

    • Vince LaMonica
      25 November 2011 at 4:27 am #

It all depends on your needs – the Product Importer extension is extremely important if you have a site with lots of inventory in a separate system [i run a bookstore with over 3500 active items for sale, so this extension is very valuable to me!].

Likewise, the Cloud Viewer extension is important to people who sell items that want to show off the details of the items or photographers who would like to give people an idea about how sharp an image is.

There’s also the Authorize.net and PayPal Pro extensions which are essential if you use them as your payment gateways. But I think each extension they make is essential to different people [as i could care less about the payment gateways that don't allow me to sign up in this country, but others feel exactly the opposite since they live in a country that the gateway is king!].

Just as Vince said our most popular WooCommerce extension may not be right for your site/shop.

Really depends on what you need to help improve your shop, etc… :)

    Hey guys.
    Happy thanksgiving!

So Standard Club Subscription does not include shopping themes ? Sorry I am a little confused.
If I buy Standard Club Subscription will I have access to all themes or all except “woocommerce” ?

    • Magnus
      25 November 2011 at 11:03 am #

      Hi,

Yes the club subscription includes WC themes and child themes. The only thing it doesn’t include is WC extensions.

You’ll have access to ALL themes including WC themes :)

    Hi,

I just bought a standard package a couple of week ago at full price.

What can I do to upgrade without “losing” my 70$ ?

    Thanks in advance.

    • Marc

    • Uche
      25 November 2011 at 6:12 pm #

Me too, I bought a whole load of WooCommerce extensions over the past week, damn!

Question for the WooTeam. I already have a standard subscription. If I take the BLACKCLUB offer and upgrade to developer, will I also get my next monthly subscription free as well? If that’s an affirmative I’ll hit buy now ;-)

  14. Mark Bailey
    26 November 2011 at 1:54 am #

Same here. Would love to purchase quite a few extensions, but each one has to be done as a separate transaction. After the second purchase, I’m asked to try a different card (but I only have one available).

Is there a solution or an easier way to buy multiple extensions at once? After all, e-commerce should be easy. ;-)

    Thanks,

    Mark

    • Vince LaMonica
      26 November 2011 at 2:45 am #

Yeah, you have to call your anti-fraud line at your credit card company if you want to buy more than one extension if it is priced the same as the one you already bought. It is because, if you’re based in the US, the credit card companies will flag your account for fraudulent activity due to duplicate amounts of money spent via an overseas payment processor. WT really needs a shopping cart system for their extensions [maybe use WC! :) ].

  15. WP Warrior
    26 November 2011 at 10:43 am #

I’m also annoyed/confused as to why you can’t purchase multiple extensions at once. It seems like a bad advertisement for WooCommerce to have the customer have to purchase each extension separately with no shopping cart, just a form.

In addition to the inconvenience I also have to pay an extra fee for each transaction.

Why do you guys have it setup like this?

    • Adii Rockstar
      27 November 2011 at 4:10 pm #

We’ve never needed a complete shopping cart before, since all of our purchases were once-off and weren’t as frequent. And then WooCommerce happened. :)

We realize that our users are likely to want more than one extension and that the current checkout process isn’t ideal. This is something that we’re hoping to address early in 2012.

Just when I´m thinking about designing my own site with the Woo Framework you drop this on me XD

Now I would gladely buy Currents to get it to work as it should. But at the same time I know it won´t fill my stomach for design when I have my own design at the back of my head.

And I don´t have enough places to use these themes on. Which is a pity since it´s such a good price.

    Help!

I just tried to purchase a theme using this weekends special pricing (buy a theme …get 20% off & 4 free themes) and after clicking on Complete Order button, I got an error message, “Oops! there was an error, contact Wootheme support” or something like that.

I tried it twice. I know my credit card is good. What’s the problem?

Please help. I would really like to take advantage of your current offer.

  23. Christine
    28 November 2011 at 10:36 pm #

I’m essentially a potential new user… and was fluctuating between investing in ithemes builder and genesis… but I like the Canvas theme you have, including child theme capability.

SO, based on your offers above… wondering best way to purchase based on your offers above…Regarding the specials above… as I want to use it as a child theme… so what is the best way to get involved with Woo Themes… and have some options?

  24. Bobr
    28 November 2011 at 11:43 pm #

When I apply code BLACKSTD it reduces the price by 20% but say 2-for-1 themes…is 2 or 5?
    Thanks.

    • Christine
      29 November 2011 at 12:05 am #

      Bobr…
I saw the same info on the payment page… as I used the same code…But AFTER the payment is all complete, you DO get prompted to select your 4 bonus themes… So, it does work correctly. Just doesn’t state that on the payment page.

I’m excited to get started with Canvas… but it is a little intimidating…

If anyone else out there is a good with Canvas, let me know! ;)

One question: I’ve bought Canvas and I’d like to try Canvas Buddypress…does the latter count as a bonus theme if I add to the Standard Pack or is considered as a child theme and won’t count in towards the offered bonus themes?

    • Mark Forrester
      29 November 2011 at 12:51 pm #

Bob, it should be a free download available from your dashboard if you own Canvas. Tomorrow we release a new version of it though and will be charging like other child themes. Now that you have club membership though you shouldn’t need to worry about that though.

Thanks very much Magnus. I have a problem though. I just made one purchase (of the Wiki theme) and then went to make a separate purchase of an app theme, but got a message saying there was a problem with my account and that it’s been deactivated. Can you please help so I can make my final purchase before going to sleep?

HMMM… Don’t know what’s going on here Woo, but I can’t get into my account at all any more. It’s now sleep time in my part of the world; hopefully you’ll be able to sort this and still let me purchase an app theme at the reduced rate once the deactivation of my account has been sorted (please)?

      Thanks

Interestingly enough, I just had the same exact issue that Richard had. Tried to purchase SupportPress and did so – I think successfully – then tried to go purchase FaultPress (for 2 different uses) and I got the same error as Richard plus my account also completely deactivated.

I would like to get these as soon as possible since I have a meeting to show these off today.

          Thanks in advance!

Regarding Canvas: I’ve figured out before signing up for the Club membership.
I’m very pleased with the way the sign up and the customer panel works, very neat and easy to figure out.
I’m a member of many WP premium themes clubs and by far WooThemes is the best.
Yesterday, by accident(!) I gave one of your free themes a go and I was amazed by the options and the way everything is structured in the back end so I’ve decided to have a better look at your themes…and it was love at first sight. I can’t wait to play with some of them and try the Woo commerce.

I’m so pissed off that I missed this one lol. I was hoping this would repeat for the christmas thingie, but today’s “first 3 months not recurring” deal is just not nearly as sexy.

I don’t mind paying the recurring since day one. It’s the initial investment I’d love to see a discount one.

@AlekNovy: I was lucky to get that deal after I’ve picked up a free WooTheme and I’ve decided they are awesome. Now I’ve got nothing to choose for this December SALE…

@Magnus: off the topic I’d like to ask you how do you highlight comments of WooTheme team sitewide? I mean the green bubble in which the comment is wrapped…

    • Magnus
      20 December 2011 at 2:54 pm #

      Hi,

We highlight the comments with a custom CSS class in comments.php that is outputted only when a team member replies :)
