Coda is our latest magazine theme, designed and coded by our own Forum Ninja, Kirstin Pauk. What sets Coda apart from the rest of our magazine themes is it’s unique single post layout, which makes use of a jQuery tab to split the article from the comments.

Promoting Apz

22

by Adii Rockstar in New Themes

We’re going back to the niches with our next release of Apz, which we believe will be the perfect theme to showcase & promote your iPhone / Blackberry / mobile app… Heck, we even think it’d be amazing for web apps or as a standard business theme due to the flexible controls we’ve built into the theme (to make it more generic if you so choose).

This is what you can look forward to…

Keep On Growing

If you’ve ever been involved in the startup life; you’d know that life can get pretty frenetic at times. And after a long, yet exciting year we’re happy to announce that we’ve grown our team once again to continue fueling the immense growth we’ve experienced this year.

The latest member of our team is Kirstin Pauk, who has joined Tiago Noronha as part of our support team. Kirstin who is one of our leading Affiliated Woo Workers, brings a wealth of experience (in hacking, breaking & fixing our themes back up) to the table and we truly believe that all of our users will find this latest addition to the team to be very valuable indeed.

So our relative “silence” from last week is a thing off the past, since we’re all rested after the whole WooTeam (except for Tiago unfortunately) met up in Cape Town for some R&R. We even managed to do a little photoshoot to show you how pretty we all are… :)

This means that it is back to the grindstone for us. Jeff is starting his new job on Monday, so we’ll be back to full compliment then. We still plan on bringing you some new awesomeness, before we close the curtains on 2009.

Woo Worker Interview #2 – Kirstin Pauk

by Mark Forrester in 5 Minutes With Woo

kirstin_paukOur second Woo Worker Interview is with a freelancer the other side of the pond of another Woo Worker who we interviewed last week (Josh of Cubicle Ninjas).

Tell us a little about yourself, your design / development skills and how this translates to your (freelancing) business.

I’m Kirstin, a 25 year old full living on the Isle of Skye (a small island off the north west coast of Scotland). I’ve been a webdesigner specializing in wordpress for the last 4 years and I’ve been a full time freelance designer since January. Although I’ve used a number of platforms, I homed in on wordpress as it offered a lot more flexibility and control. Most of my freelance work is tweaking and coding themes, writing plugins etc although I also do a lot of work with integrating forum and gallery softwares. I’m definitely not the best graphic artist out there, so I tend to be drawn more towards the coding and tweaking jobs.
