Tomorrow – 9 July – will mark the exact date two years ago that we celebrated the launch of the WooThemes brand (after having traded under the name of Premium News Themes for the 8 months prior to that). Going through our blog archives, support forum & e-mail threads for the past 2 years, it’s obvious that the company has come a very long way and it is with that nostalgic feeling that we would like to invite you to celebrate our 2nd Birthday with us.

In the past two years, we have:

• Released: 71 WordPress Themes, 7 Tumblr Themes, 6 Drupal Themes & 10 ExpressionEngine Themes.
• Published 363 posts, in 38 categories using 386 tags. Also created 128 pages.
• Expanded our team to 8 full-time members.
• Grown our community to over 30 000 members.

As has always been the case with WooThemes, we try to give the WooFans much more than we ask of them, which means that even thought this is our birthday, we’ll be giving you some presents instead…

It’s taken us a while, but we’ve finally given all 7 of our beautiful Tumblr themes a home here on WooThemes: Here’s WooTumblr.

After recently – and without any real announcement – adding two more Tumblr themes to our collection (Decadence & TumFolio), we felt that we needed to give our Tumblr themes a proper place within the WooThemes.com ecosystem. This also signals our intent with regards to creating more Tumblr themes going forward and we’re especially excited to explore with niche-focused themes (such TumFolio).

After a bit of a soft-launch of our Drupal themes last month, we are getting into our stride now with the release of two new Drupal themes: the super-sexy Delegate and ever-efficient, Headlines.

This means our Drupal collection grows to four themes and we look forward to adding at least another two themes next month.

And on that note… Which two themes would you like to see ported to Drupal next?

In April, I will be presenting at the DIBI Web Conference (my topic: “The Designer Startup”) in Newcastle, UK where I will be joined by Magnus, Mark and our two amazing support ninja’s – Tiago & Kirstin. On top of this, the conference also features other well-known web professionals such as Tim van Damme, Sarah Parmenter, Simon Collisson, Elliot Kember and a few more.

First off, we’d like to say thank you to everyone who participated in the Send Some WooLove campaign; we have a bunch of new users as a result, and we think it was a fun promo all round.
